Eligibility Criteria

To register for the CIA certification and take the exams, candidates must meet one of the following requirements:

๐Ÿ”น A Degree
๐Ÿ”น The ACCA Qualification
๐Ÿ”น Two Years of Post-Secondary Education (such as A-levels) + Two Years of Internal Audit Experience
๐Ÿ”น Four Years of Internal Audit Experience

(If you donโ€™t meet the criteria, you can still enroll in the CIA training program and apply for certification once you become eligible.)

Before being awarded the CIA designation, candidates must also have relevant work experience in Internal Audit or a related role, meeting one of the following:

๐Ÿ”น A Masterโ€™s Degree (or equivalent) + 12 Months of Internal Auditing Experience
๐Ÿ”น A Degree + Two Years of Experience
๐Ÿ”น Two Years of Post-Secondary Education (such as A-levels) + Five Years of Experience
๐Ÿ”น Seven Years of Internal Audit Experience
